Hello Friends,
This blog and discussion board is for you, members of the Executive Committee. Technology provides us the ability to have broader discussions without having to meet in person, and this blogspot can help us talk about issues long before we have to vote on them. Hopefully, this will make the process much easier and effective.
Our first task is to work through the "Nine Lessons of A Positive Life" together. We will do so over the next three weeks. You have the study guide. If not, the link is available here at the site.
After each lesson (you will do three per week), share your thoughts and lets talk about where God is leading us.
So, thanks for serving at GBUMC and especially for your continued leadership and dedicated sharing of your gifts and graces.
Many blessings,
Shane

ReplyDeleteWell, let's give this a "go". I'm not a blogger or a facebook/twitter savy person, but this may just get me curious enough to try it. The idea of being on a computer even more than I am already on the computer has not been very appealing. A friend of mine has a saying that I love and use whenever I can - it is: you are either UP or GETTING UP. To me, this reiterates Lesson one to become satisfied with never being satisfied. It's a leap to see joy in all we do -the cup is either half full or half empty - I sure do like drinking from the half full cup.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day
Paula
Another test to see how my name is displayed!
ReplyDeleteLast try!
ReplyDeleteI started a Joy Journal on my Blackberry today and could easily jot down 5 "joys" to my day by 1:30 pm. Experiencing joy frees me from worry and focuses me to watch for, see and hopefully seize opportunities to work for God. It's a better way than trying to seize control of my day, aka wrestle it away from God, and focus on His opportunities to do His work.
